Haiti Relief Effort
"In response to the devastating earthquake that happened in Haiti on January 12, The Pride Connections Center of NJ is collecting non-perishable items (cans, plastics or boxes only- NO GLASS) to ship to Haiti as part of the relief efforts.
The earthquake left 100,000 feared dead, and many more men, women and children without shelter, food or water. It is very important that we all gather our resources to send to a nation crippled by such unfortunate circumstances. New York and New Jersey have very big Haitian population, and we all can do a little bit to help our fellow men and women.
Please bring donations to the Pride Connections Center located at 32 Jones Street in Jersey City. Every little bit helps.
You can also text “Yele” to 501501 on your cell phone to automatically donate $5 to the efforts, or a donation of $10 via the Red Cross by texting “Haiti” to 90999. (The charges will appear on your next phone bill)"
